Your First NovaVoxx Campaign in 10 Minutes
A walkthrough for new accounts: from sign-up to a running outbound campaign with a personalized caller persona, a Twilio number, and your first contact on the dial list.
Most of our onboarding time with new accounts gets spent on the concept of a "campaign" — what goes in one, what to leave out, and how the AI uses the inputs you give it. This post walks through that end-to-end so you can ship your first outbound call today.
Step 1: Sign up and pick a plan
Create an account at /register with email and password, or one-click with Google. Starter is $49/month with 500 talk-minutes; Growth is $149/month with 2,000 minutes. You can change plans at any time and the difference is prorated immediately.
Step 2: Create a campaign
From the Outbound dashboard, click New Campaign. Fill in:
- Receptionist name — an internal label, not what the caller says.
- Voice — pick from the curated ElevenLabs voice library. Listen to previews.
- Purpose — one or two sentences describing what the call is about. The AI grounds every response in this.
- Expected output — what a successful call looks like. "Booked demo," "Confirmed appointment," "Pledge amount captured."
- Caller persona — caller name, organization, and a short bio. The AI uses these in the introduction.
Step 3: Assign a phone number
Click Assign Phone on your campaign. Search available Twilio numbers by area code, pick one, and it becomes the Caller ID for that campaign. Numbers can be reused across campaigns or dedicated per-campaign — your choice.
Step 4: Add contacts
Enter contact name and phone number. The AI uses the name in the call — "Hi, is this Sarah?" — so get it right. You can add contacts individually or duplicate an existing contact to pre-fill fields.
Step 5: Set scheduling and launch
Restrict the campaign to specific days (e.g., weekdays only) and a time window (e.g., 9 AM–5 PM in the caller's timezone). Activate the campaign, and NovaVoxx will dial through the contact list during the allowed window.
Where to go from here
Once a campaign is running, visit the Activity dashboard to see calls in flight and recent outcomes. For larger campaigns, consider wiring a calendar integration so the AI can book a meeting live on the call — see the Integrations guide.
