How NovaMinutes are counted

A NovaMinute is our unified usage unit. It covers the work the platform performs on your behalf during a call and through any AI-driven communications or optional analyses your account uses. Calls that ring unanswered or go to voicemail without the AI speaking do not consume NovaMinutes. NovaMinute consumption rates are set by NovaVoxx and may be adjusted from time to time.

What happens at the cap

NovaVoxx sends email and SMS alerts at 80% and 100% of your monthly cap. At 100% outbound campaign agents pause automatically to prevent overage surprises. Inbound receptionist agents continue to operate. You can buy a NovaMinutes add-on or upgrade to resume outbound.

Purchase add-ons from Profile → Usage. They post to your current month's cap.

Payment methods

Card details are tokenized in your browser by a PCI-DSS-compliant payment processor and never reach our servers as raw card numbers. Add, update, delete, and set default cards from Profile → Payment Methods.

Billing cycle

Plans bill monthly. The first charge is prorated for the current period; subsequent charges run at 02:00 UTC on the 1st of each month. Failed charges are retried at day 1, 3, and 7 following the initial failure. After three failed attempts the account is suspended until a working payment method is provided.

Plan changes

Upgrading takes effect immediately and prorates the difference. Downgrading takes effect at the start of the next billing cycle.

Telephony costs

Phone-number rentals and per-minute voice usage are billed by your telephony carrier directly to your account with them. NovaVoxx does not mark up those charges.

What's a NovaMinute?

A NovaMinute is the unified usage unit drawn from your monthly NovaMinutes pool. It represents work performed on your behalf by the platform — including live call talk time and any messages, communications, or optional analyses your account performs through NovaVoxx.

Different actions have different underlying costs to deliver, so each is converted to a NovaMinute-equivalent at the time it's performed. The voice or model you choose for a call may also affect the rate at which NovaMinutes are consumed; voices and providers with higher underlying costs draw from your allotment faster than the baseline. Conversion rates are determined by NovaVoxx and may be adjusted from time to time to reflect changes in underlying carrier, telephony, and AI-provider pricing.
