How phone numbers work on NovaVoxx

NovaVoxx provisions phone numbers through your telephony carrier account. When you assign a number to a campaign or receptionist, NovaVoxx searches the carrier's inventory, purchases the number against your account, and configures the routing for inbound or outbound calls.

Searching for a number

From any campaign or receptionist detail page, click Assign Phone. Enter an area code and NovaVoxx returns available US numbers with that area code. Neighbor-area-code numbers typically get better answer rates than out-of-market numbers.

Purchase and assignment

Confirming a number purchases it (your carrier bills the monthly rental directly to your account, typically $1 to $2/month per US local number) and assigns it to the campaign or receptionist. For outbound campaigns this number becomes the Caller ID on every call. For inbound receptionists this number is the line the AI answers.

Reassigning a number

You can detach a number from one campaign and reassign it to another. The number stays owned by your carrier account the whole time.

Releasing a number

When you delete a campaign or receptionist, NovaVoxx gives you the option to release the associated number back to your carrier. Released numbers stop costing you the monthly rental.

Pricing reminder

Your carrier bills rentals and per-minute usage directly to your account. NovaVoxx's subscription fee covers platform NovaMinutes but does not mark up carrier telephony charges. See Billing & Limits for details.
